Since part of this blog's purpose is to promote logic and critical thinking, I've added a new category on fallacies. Fallacies are running all over the place in contemporary culture, and this section will act as a sort of museum where we can stick the little critters under glass and get a better look at them.
These fallacies will come from real authors, in areas such as news, politics, theology, and philosophy. Part of my goal is to emphasize how practical logic really is. I hope all kinds of people will start to apply the rules of argument to what they see around them. I want logic with Nikes on.
For more info on what fallacies, or mistakes in reasoning, are, check out ChristianLogic's great resources, especially The Fallacy Detective and the follow-up The Thinking Toolbox.
