"Hutterite"

The little-heard prequel to 3 Doors Down's hit "Kryptonite" has now been discovered. For some reason, this one didn't catch on, so Brad Arnold had to rewrite it.

Hutterite

I took a walk around the farm to ease my mind and pray;
I left my body lying somewhere in a bale of hay.
I watched the world float to the dark side of the sea;
I feel that I should just retreat, yeah.
I watched the world float to the dark side of the sea;
After all, I knew it had to have nothing to do with me.
I really don't mind what happens now and then,
As long as I get my crown in the end.

Chorus:
If I go crazy then will you still call me Amish Man?
If I'm alive and well, will you be there farming my land?
I'll keep you by my side with my Anabaptist might
Hutterite.

You called me stern; you called me mean,
But still my horses I will keep.
You took for granted all the buttons that I never wear.
I don't conform to modern dress,
Or war or state or worldliness;
A worldly razor will not touch my facial hair.

(Chorus)

Note: Yes, I do realize that the Amish and the Hutterite groups are not totally the same…poetic license….
