Far more damage

I really liked one line from Monday's 24 episode. Martha Logan was trying to persuade her husband not to follow the advice of his manipulative vice-president and place Los Angeles under martial law. To paraphrase her point from memory: "An edict like this could cause far more damage than any chemical weapon ever could."

Another truth that showed up on Monday was the sanctity of marriage. Martha's love for Charles was stronger than a mere feeling, and she chose to stick by him and help him make the right decisions (and if any man ever needed his wife's counsel, it's Logan). And she chose this despite his failures as a husband and a president.
