We read 1 Corinthians 7:25-40. Paul says there that it is the unmarried that are anxious about the things of the Lord, not the married with few children. We have observed that having few children doesn't mean you will have less, or be free from, anxieties and worldly cares. You can have just as many or more anxieties with few children as with many. Paul wrote his counsel to the Corinthians that it was better to remain unmarried because of the persecutions that were either happening at that time or had been predicated would happen soon. And in light of that it would be better not to marry.
